"An organisation is guilty of a corporate manslaughter offense if the way in which its activities are managed or organised causes a person's death, and if this amounts to a gross breach of a relevant duty of care owed by the organisation to the deceased."

After the increasing stories of the elderly,low income families and vulnerable people living in todays society having to choose between food or heating, or in some circumstances, forgoing both due to unscrupulous landlords, I feel strongly that it is time for the companies that are holding the vulnerable society to ransom to be held accountable by law for their actions.

We have seen many packages announced by the government for help with the soaring energy prices, but amazingly, those on disability benefits have been excluded. 

Every year people ( elderly, vulnerable or otherwise) die due to the indifference of major energy suppliers and I believe its time for full accountability.

The laws around "corporate manslaughter " are far reaching and I hope enough signatures will get this debated. 

We should not be having to try and create interest in this in 2022 , but who thought foodbanks for our hardworking NHS staff would ever be mentioned in a sentence?
