Endocrinologists of America: Listen to us!
We have issues because of no longer having a thyroid and having to take Synthoid. We know that Synthroid is the issue. There are many Facebook pages, blogs, twitter posts out there that we all connect on. We as Thyroid Cancer survivors all have the same issues. Endocrinologists seem to brush them off as being related to something else. So we are never helped, only relying on each other. Some of our daily symptoms are: Feeling tired all the time, fogged brain, achy joints, heavy feeling in throat (mostly in high dewpoints), blurry vision, tinnitus, anxiety attacks, irregular heart beat. Significant weight gain, weakness, hair loss, itchy scalp, brittle nails, unable to tolerate heat and cold extremes, indigestion, heartburn, and more. And that is on a "so called" correct dosage! With thyroid cancer on the rise it is important to start listening to the survivors.
