       In most circuses, animals are taken from their habitats to learn tricks. They are whipped and beaten if they do not do what they are supposed to. Some circuses use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks and other painful equipment on the animals. That is why they obey the trainers. There are also many videos for proof such as this one.

          WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE?
         Animal abuse needs to change. Human activities is the major threat to most animals, leading to extinction. Habitat loss (the act of humans taking over land from forests), poaching, natural resource taken, urban development, pollution and release of other toxic gases etc can cause a big affect on animals.  According to "People for the  Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)", over 100 million animals are killed in the world annually and every 60 seconds, one animal suffers from animal abuse. In conclusion, I think that all of us can agree that animal abuse is to be stopped now! 

          WHO CAN CHANGE IT? 
           Have you ever thought about how this can change? It would only make sense to say that if we humans cause animal abuse then we must be the ones solving it! "Animal cruelty is against the law in every state, and certain acts of animal abuse are considered felonies", Always remember that animal abuse is under a law but majority of the people don't follow it.

      Once we reach a certain amount of signatures in this petition, we will work to make animal cruelty prevention laws stricter!
