On Monday, March 12, 2023, President Biden approved the willow project. This is an oil-drilling project in Alaska in an area expected to hold 600 Million barrels of oil. However, this will release 278 Million metric tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. This will be extremely detrimental to the environment and should obviously be stopped. This could destroy the ozone layer and make large amounts of air largely unbreathable, in the area around the project, and possibly in larger areas around it like the entire state or surrounding areas even into Canada. The bill should be overturned, to save the planet. This will also have a high probability to melt the arctic ice which would have a horrible outcome for the polar bears and other land-dwelling arctic animals!
