End the War in Afghanistan and Bring the Troops Home

The Issue

President Obama pledged to start bringing troops home from Afghanistan in July.

But the Pentagon is digging in its heels, and the administration is talking about keeping tens of thousands of soldiers in Afghanistan past 2014.

So will the July withdrawal be a credible step towards ending the war or a photo-op? The Pentagon is making its case. Congress is finally becoming more skeptical of the war, and we have between now and the end of June to make sure they push back.

Peace Action West is holding a virtual march on Congress to cut through the politics and make it personal.
