Your portrayal is ridiculously WRONG! The fact is, the pilgrims were too narrowminded and ignorant to understand the civilization structure, beliefs, and kindness before them. Even after being saved from starvation by the indigenous, in less than 25 years, they became jealous of the resources the Natives had worked to develop. And so began the killing, theft, and celebratory Thanksgiving for successful massacres. History may not be filled with fuzzy feel goods, but it is truth, to which journalism is supposed to be dedicated!

I was born, brought up and lived in Plymouth, MA, “The Land of the Pilgrims”, for over fifty years. I have always been on the side of the Indigenous People. Most accounts of how the were treated by the white man are false. They were murdered and driven out of their own country. They helped the Pilgrims and that’s what they got for their kindnesses.
It’s a small thing to ask that this article is no longer published year after year.
