The puzzle piece symbol is the single most widely known symbol for autism, and the single most hated. The implications that we’re puzzling, need to be fixed, and are not complete cannot be erased with simple changes to the design of the symbol. The puzzle piece needs to be removed completely, not simply edited differently or changed. The vast majority of autistic people are negatively impacted by the use of this symbol and we need to change its prevalence.
