End the Megan's law for non violent offences

The Issue

Megan's Law was a law signed in effect by President Bush in 1996  from  6 year old Megan kinka she was kidnapped and raped and murderd by a convicted sex offender in New Jersey. The law was to originally attended to track sex offender's on where they stay.

I am starting a petition to end the Megan's Law for all non violent offences such as the following:

INDECENT EXPOSURE,POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, JUVENILE SEXTING, MINORS CONVICTED OF A SEX OFFENSE AGAINST ANOTHER MINOR.

These Law's need to be corrected the Megan's Law was attended for violent sex offenders to be kept track of. However the law has gone to far if you so much as touch a person wrong you are a sex offender , if you click on the wrong website you are now required to register as a sex offender. I am setting up this petition to eliminate requirements to register as a sex offender if your crime is not violent (e.g NO SEXUAL CONTACT WITH A MINOR WAS PERFORMED).
