End Racial Disparities in Police Work, now

As I am sure you are aware, equal justice for all is a central principle of American democracy, but Justice Department statistics show that Blacks and Hispanics are nearly three times as likely as whites to be searched by police, and Blacks are almost four times as likely as whites to be subjected to the use of force.  Unprovoked shootings in four recent high profile cases in Illinois, California, and Louisiana, which wounded and killed people who posed no threat to bystanders or the officers, underscore the severity of the consequences of racial profiling.   Please, take immediate measures to prevent future tragedies, investigate racial bias in policing, and ensure that officers are held accountable for their actions, now.
