Why this petition matters

Started by Hermina Callahan

In the United States, police brutality refers to the use of unjustified or excessive force by police officers against citizens. Police brutality has taken numerous forms, from assault and battery (beatings) to disruption, abuse, and murders. what is the relationship between race and police brutality? And the population in the USA. Black Americans have been victims of police twice as much as white Americans and they have a smaller population in the USA. More than half of the black American population has been killed. This happens because of racial profiling and many other things. We are judged differently because of the color of our skin.

We need to end police brutality by stopping racial profiling and stereotypes. We need to let others see that everyone is equal no matter the color of their skin. We need to show everyone the full stories of the millions of Black American victims of police brutality. I hate seeing all this happen because I am a Black American, so it is very hard to see my people getting killed and abused when I can only do so little. It is scary going back to the United States every summer and winter because it could happen to me at any moment. I am here to start a petition to end police brutality in the USA but also all over the world and to spread awareness on the issue.
