84% (more than 4 in 5 teens) have either missed class time or know someone who missed class time because they did not have access to period products.
It can take 500 to 800 years for the most popular period product to break down.
Recently Governor Sisolak signed three bills in favor to improve women's health, one of them being to make schools provide menstrual products to girls in school.
With that being said, only 25% of schools in Nevada will be encouraged to be apart of this bill.
None of these products are sustainable and contribute to land fills. Period products, which are normal single use, should be provided to girls in a sustainable manner.
Please encourage Governor Sisolak to modify this bill to include eco-friendly products
