If The United States is ever to be an effective broker in the Israel-Palestine conflict, it must cease its unwavering partiality for Israel and it must show more understanding of the needs and wishes of the Palestinian people.  Specifically, we must stop withholding funds from the Palestinian governing authority.  Moreover, we should be generous in helping Palestinians to repair damage caused by military action, rebuild homes destroyed by the IDF,
and develop the infrastructure needed for life and business to flourish.  I, therefore, urge the White House and Congress to resume all payment programs to the Palestinian authority, and to ask our allies to do the same without further delay.
