Governor Ige has shown signs that he may choose to ignore CDC guidance and continue the mask mandate in Hawaii beyond its current expiration date of 3/25/22. His extraordinary power to single-handedly make emergency proclamations, despite our hospitals having ample bed space and the death toll being extremely low, is undemocratic and authoritarian. Sign this petition to show Governor Ige that dropping the mask mandate is not only backed by science, but by the will of the people who live here.
