End Child Labor Before Its Too Late

End Child Labor Before Its Too Late
Child labor is work, with little pay to no pay that often denies children the ability to have access to education and deprives them of the joy of childhood. Child labor can be hazardous and can possibly kill children as well. This exploitation of using children to work is immoral and must be put to a stop.
According to the International Labor Organization (ILO,) around 72.1 million African children are involved in child labor out of which almost 35.1 million children are involved in hazardous labor. As of 2016, global estimates suggest that 1/5 of all African children are involved in child labor. While children are being involved in labor, their childhood and education are being taken away from them, not allowing them to prove their true abilities if they were given the privilege to study. Not only is child labor taking away their education and childhood, but child labor can also cause skin damage, harm to the lungs from inhaling toxic fumes, mental harm from excessive work and too much fatigue, permanent disability and in many cases death.
By signing this petition, you are agreeing to put a stop to child labor in your sphere of influence and help these children have a chance of creating their own future rather than having their future decided for them.
