Hi we are currently on our National Citizens Service programme otherwise known as NCS. We have been given the task in teams take social action and help a specific community in need. We have chosen to help the homeless, specifically in abolishing anti homeless architecture. In a previous task NCS gave us the opportunity to see our own city on a deeper level. Whilst it was amazing to see the beauty of our city through its world famous landmarks, we were also confronted with the hard truths of the inequality faced by those discarded by the housing system. This highlighted the lack of basic rights as well as the infestation of anti-homeless architecture in our city.
