In a clear money grabbing attempt, the city of New York will begin a 24/7 365 enforcement of speed cameras on 8/1/2022. The city has undertaken this measure citing safety as it’s reasoning. The program already runs Monday to Friday 6am to 10pm. It’s no secret it’s made the city millions of dollars since its inception.. monies they’ve undoubtably mismanaged, as it’s their custom to. This just seems like another attempt to fill their coffers by bilking New Yorkers. As it stands, New Yorkers already face some of the highest cost living and infringements across the country. Enough is enough. It seems whenever we allow an inch, they take a mile. Let’s let Mayor Eric Adams and Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez know this is a step too far. Say NO! to 24/7 enforcement of these speed cameras.
