Do the people of Bushnell want a Publix in town?  They'll build here if we ask them — they've already considered it.

With many of us driving out of town to shop at Publix for its wide variety and consistent quality, it's clear the demand is there. Our current grocery options in Bushnell, Florida are limited, and many residents find themselves not shopping locally for their needs. While we have a weekly market full of produce, its availability is constrained by being open only on Mondays, coupled with the challenges of Florida's heat and spontaneously combusting rain clouds, making it a less viable option for quick or necessary trips.

Bushnell is experiencing growth, and we're strategically located off I-75. Publix, owning land in Bushnell, is in a prime position to serve our community, which currently falls into a 'deadzone' of Publix stores despite being on a Publix distribution route. Adding a Publix would not only offer convenient access to healthier food options but also bring numerous jobs, support local economic growth, and provide a reliable shopping experience that Walmart and Winn Dixie currently fail to offer due to frequent stocking issues. 

Look.. our town's grocery landscape is shifting, with our once-reliable Winn Dixie transitioning to an Aldi, leading to even more limited in-person shopping options. This change makes the convenience and variety offered by a potential Publix even more critical for our community.

Kroger, while accessible through delivery, presents its own set of challenges and doesn't replace the need for a physical store that meets our community's needs.  Don't get me wrong, I like Kroger, but the novelty of shopping for all of your groceries through a cell phone quickly wears off.  A new Publix store would fulfill a significant gap in our local infrastructure, bringing much-needed quality and variety to Bushnell.

We urge Publix Super Markets Inc., a leading regional grocery chain, to consider establishing a branch in Bushnell. Let's demonstrate our strong desire and need for a Publix. Your signature can help bring healthier, more reliable grocery options closer to our homes.
