Turn the Tower Lights Purple on March 26th in Support of Epilepsy Awareness
This petition had 3,507 supporters
While unfortunately the Empire State Building has denied our request this year, we will absolutely be trying again down the road to have their lights turned purple for epilepsy awareness. If you would also like to email them directly in addition to signing the petition, it can be done at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Purple Day" is on March 26th every year, in support of epilepsy awareness. Epilepsy, which affects over 3 million Americans and 50 million people worldwide, is a condition that despite the term being common, very little is known about among the general public. The Empire State Building, one of the most iconic symbols in New York City, uses its lights to raise awareness of numerous causes, and epilepsy should be among them. Sign this petition to have the tower lights turned purple on March 26th in support of epilepsy awareness.
We are an online based movement. To follow us, visit our facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/#!/TurnTheEmpireStateBuildingPurpleForEpilepsy. In addition, we now have the Anita Kaufmann Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey in support who have submitted applications to Turn the Empire State Building Purple for Epilepsy Awareness on March 26!
