Save the Emory Hindi Language Program!

This petition had 321 supporters

As you all know, Emory’s Hindi Language Program is in jeopardy of being shut down. But what the Dean doesn’t see is how passionate the Hindi students are in learning Hindi and how big of an impact Hindi has had on it's students. Personally, Hindi has given me the opportunity to connect and communicate not only with family members, but also the general community back home in ways that I could have never imagined before. It brought me closer to my roots and allowed me grow as a person that I couldn't have done otherwise. I prided myself in the fact that Emory has supported such amazing programs like Hindi and South Asian Studies. However, now that this great program is under jeopardy, we really need to provide a solid front.
Although many of you have not had the opportunity to take Hindi, know that it is truly one of the best out there with the most caring and helpful professors. RIGHT NOW is the most critical time period as nothing has been set in stone and NEGOTIATIONS ARE STILL UNDER WAY. YOUR SUPPORT AND YOUR EMAIL/LETTER CAN TRULY BE THE DECIDING FACTOR!!!!!! So lets show the administration that we wont stay silent!
Please sign the petition below and SPREAD THE WORD!

**just as a side, we will be presenting the list of names to the Dean THIS WEDNESDAY, so please be sure to sign the petition with your real name and not anonymously** Thanks again for all your support!
