It is our view that the newly announced “Max the Downtown Dragon” mascot does not accurately represent the people and culture of Uvalde, Texas. We, the citizens of Uvalde, are therefore NOT in favor of this image being used as the mascot for our beloved community. We instead propose that a cartoon tree be used as the Uvalde mascot, to coincide with the already established City of Uvalde logo.
