Pets are members of your family, the grief you feel when your pet is lost or has to be pts is like no other pain i have ever felt.

I am a pet mum and would be devastated at the loss of my dog. I dont think I would be able to pick up and go to work that day or next.

A dog is a family member and when you loose a pet it should be recognised as a bereavement by employers

Because i completely understand and empathise with Emma and anyone else who has lost their pet companion. I lost my best friend 2 days ago. He was my gorgeous, handsome black lab. It was me and him for 12 years. Heartache doesn't begin to describe how much the pain hurts. In my life i have lost 3 dogs and it is the worst pain ive ever experienced. People need to understand. Grief is grief regardless pet or human.

The brain, the heart, can experience the grief of loss. Our bodies react to grief, whether a human, or a treasured, cherished pet.

It is as ESSENTIAL for pet lovers to have the same time to grieve just like the loss of a family member because they ARE family❣️

WE just had to say goodbye to our beloved cat who was with us for 17 years. The heartbreak is devastating and goes on for a long time. My deepest sympathy to Emma on the loss of her beloved companion.

I am retired now but I loved my cocker spaniel, Tanner & yes I still long to have him on my lap or sleep with me at night with my hand on him. Sometimes I still cry over him.
People don't understand.
