The over Commercial fishing of King/Chinook and Chum Salmon by trawler nets is overwhelming the fish population. Numbers have been decreasing year after year, something has to be done! Restrictions have been put on everyone except Commercial fishing.

This has prevented my family and I from fishing along with thousands of others who depend on these fish like our ancestors have before us. 

It's sad to see all the smoke houses empty without fish hanging up and no smoke coming out. Our people need these fish and they're killing them off like they did to the Buffalo and its happening right before our eyes! If we win this fight it will bring the salmon population back up and the indigenous people of Alaska can continue what we've been doing for thousands of years.
