Hello Everyone!

I understand and acknowledge there may be a great number of individuals who enjoy the new Yoke steering wheel for it's novelty and 'cool' factor...  However, after experiencing it first hand and speaking with others, I believe there is a larger population who would enjoy a 'traditional' circular steering wheel in their Tesla vehicles even more.  This includes the new Model S/X and upcoming Cybertruck, Roadster, etc.  

My request is as simple as the title states...  I urge Elon Musk and Tesla to reconsider their decision to omit a circular steering wheel from their current and upcoming vehicle's options list.  Again, I am not asking that the Yoke be removed or discontinued, simply that a traditional circular-style wheel be an option when configuring a new vehicle build.  The wheel presented and photographed in pre-production Model S vehicles looked wonderfully designed, but regrettably never made it to the public.

Make no mistake, this is not just “a Tesla problem.”  As a pioneer in the industry, other manufacturers are watching Tesla as they continue to innovate and move forward into the future of transportation.  One thing that cannot be allowed to permeate through to other manufacturers, is the ‘wheel-less’ trend.  Electrification and hybrid drivetrains are here to stay and we have already lost the beloved clutch pedal and manual transmission.  Two key components to the driving experience that are sadly absent from optioning in almost all new and upcoming vehicles.

I’ve been told the steering wheel may soon disappear entirely, and the Yoke is the first small step in that process.  Who knew this day would come, but with autonomous vehicles on the horizon we must now take a stand and save yet another fundamental component to the driving experience from extinction, the steering wheel.
