The movement to remove and desecrate historical monuments has reached Waxahachie. The statue at Ellis County courthouse honors the soldiers of Ellis county during the Civil War. It is a confederate statue erected in 1912. At that time many of the soldiers were old or had Died. The statue was part of healing the wounds of the Civil war. Regardless it is a reminder of our history. We see it as what not to do. The statue reminds us to never let anything tear us apart. We can not fall victims to the SJW mob that seeks to destroy history. If we let this go how long before they call to remove  statues of our founding fathers?George Washinton?Jefferson? Take a stand.
