Bring Electronics Back During ELT
Bring Electronics Back During ELT
Recently, HHS has banned electronics during the mandatory extended learning time (ELT). This occurred because some students told Mr. Ellenbecker that they were a distraction. So, a small amount of people have a problem and it becomes a school wide problem. It’s THEIR problem not OURS. Why do we have to all be punished when those students could’ve just expressed their problems with their peers? Phones and laptops can be used for educational purposes, too. You can download apps like Quizlet, PhotoMath, and Google Classroom. Our electronics allow us to listen to music or audiobooks to distract us from the noises and distractions around us. We should be allowed our phones because when there’s a small problem, it should stay small and between those who have and are causing the problem and NOT every student.
