S.1878-Universal Child Care and Early Learning Act is a bill that if passed will provide funds to allow children six months or older be attend school despite their disability status, families income, citizenship status, or employment of a family member.  If passed this bill will also help other professionals such as Occupational Therapists to allow them to be able to treat in a safe and more productive environment.  Many OTs who work in home health go into a house not knowing anything.  They do not know where they will be treating, if there is a designated spot, if the house is clean, who will be there, resources that can be used in therapy, and many more aspects.  With this classroom it is allowing the OTs to treat in an appropriate setting with adequate resources. By providing these children this classroom and education they are providing them a safe environment where they can grow and learn more than in their at home environment.  This will not only benefit the children but also the families and the future.
