Elizabeth II served our nation with the greatest distinction for 70 years. She did so with great dedication and selfless devotion to duty. She has been one of the nation's greatest assets, giving unbiased advice to Prime Ministers throughout her reign, fostering good relations between all nations of the Commonwealth and acting as a very effective diplomat on behalf of the UK.

The money generated by the UK from tourism has been greatly increased by the worldwide interest in the glamour and pageantry of our monarchy, headed by Her Majesty.

Her contribution to the life of the nation in times of crisis has been invaluable. Her televised addresses to the nation have been inspirational.

Her passing leaves a great void and it seems only fitting that her life should be commemorated by bestowing upon her the title "The Great".

Parliament should be petioned to pass an Act sanctioning this.
