Since the start of the COVID lockdown there has been a huge influx of vagrants into the Gabriel Road and surrounding areas near the Shell Garage! It has got to the point of resembling a land grab and squatter camp! Besides the social problem of the influx, drunken brawling, drugs and potential increase in crime the negative impact on property prices and related degradation of the area has become a problem that can no longer be tolerated by home owners, property renters and business owners, the CoCT can no longer turn a blind eye to this ever growing problem - we the residents and rate payers demand meaningful action that the CoCT cleans up the area!
