In its efforts to be an educational resource center in sustainability for the people of St. Petersburg and of Tampa Bay - the St. Pete Eco Village is currently seeking to receive a community assembly permissions to be able to hold workshops and community events surrounding the four core program areas in Sustainable Living, Green Business Entrepreneurship, Personal and Sustainable wellness and Urban Agriculture. Because our property is located within a Neighborhood Suburban Multi-Family District (NSM-2), and our Intended Use does not fall within the typical uses of this Zoning Type, we are required to apply for and be granted a Special Exception from the Development Review Commission.
The St. Pete EcoVillage is also currently seeking permission for Tiny Homes on Wheels to be permitted as Temporary Accessory Dwelling Units on its privately owned property in a Multi-Family Neighborhood (NSM-2) through a Special Exception Application to the St. Petersburg Zoning Department and the Development Review Commission.
The DRC gives great respect to the community’s wishes, but only if you tell them! We would like to use your statement of support in our application, which is due by January 8th.
Thank you for your support........ it takes a village!
