Alderman Tunney,

We have a rat infestation in East Lakeview and we need your help to reduce and eliminate Lakeview rats.  Without the city’s help we can’t do this and this unchecked rat population  is destroying our infrastructures, coming into our homes and spreading disease. Can you please:

1. Work with Businesses to prevent overflowing dumpsters which provides the rats main food source.  This can be done with garbage compactors, more frequent pick ups, better dumpsters. 
   
   
2. Upkeep of our alleys. When alleys are left to deteriorate, rats can burrow underground at the un-paved edges and have almost immediate access to building foundations. Please let’s re-pave  the alleys which have restaurants and are falling apart in order to reduce rat burrowing. 

The residents of Lakeview are doing our part to combat this issue, now we need the city of Chicago’s help
