Soy estudiante de medicina, actualmente médico interno de pregrado. Esta petición tiene la finalidad de que se elimine el año de servicio social en México para los pasantes de medicina procedentes de escuelas privadas tanto por la inseguridad que conlleva, como por el sacrificio de pago para nuestros padres que también se realiza, deduciendo que NO estamos en deuda con la sociedad. Esto, ya que tanto los 4 años escolares, el año de internado y el año de servicio social se paga, todo pagamos y no es cualquier centavo. Además, siendo que nuestros padres y seres queridos se esfuerzan para sacarnos adelante, es complicado también nosotros como estudiantes trabajar al mismo tiempo que estudiamos por el tiempo que requiere nuestra profesión. Es por eso mismo que es necesario que se elimine el servicio social porque al ser un gasto extra tardamos más tiempo en salir a independizarnos y en vez de que se nos pague a nosotros, nosotros debemos de pagar el año de servicio social. Todo esto sumado a los distintos tipos de inseguridad y violencia, como agresiones, violaciones, acoso, amenazas y asesinatos que tenemos que sufrir durante el proceso del año de servicio social médico. Muchos colegas médicos pasantes han tenido que soportar todas las agresiones, tanto físicas como psicológicas. Algunos han corrido con suerte, sin embargo algunos otros respetables colegas no pudieron sobrevivir por seguir sirviendo a sus comunidades y en algunos casos en lugar de responderles con agradecimiento, ¡LOS MATARON!

Los médicos lo único que pedimos es su apoyo y que, por favor, firmen esta petición para que juntos lleguemos a las firmas necesarias para que las autoridades nos tomen en cuenta la petición y tengamos mayor seguridad en el ejercicio de nuestra profesión, así como oportunidades para servir a la sociedad de forma respetuosa y segura. I am a medical student, currently an undergraduate medical intern. The purpose of this petition is to eliminate the year of social service in Mexico for medical interns from private schools, both because of the insecurity that it entails, and because of the sacrifice of payment for our parents that is also made, deducing that we are NOT in debt to society. This, because the 4 school years, the internship year, and the year of social service are paid, we pay for everything and it is not a penny. In addition, since our parents and loved ones make an effort to get us ahead, it is also difficult for us as students to work at the same time that we study for the time that our profession requires. That is why it is necessary to eliminate social service because, being an extra expense, it takes us longer to go out to become independent and instead of being paid, we must pay for the year of social service. All this added to the different types of insecurity and violence, such as assaults, rapes, harassment, threats, and murders that we have to suffer during the process of the year of medical social service. Many fellow medical interns have had to endure all the assaults, both physical and psychological.  Some have been lucky, however, some other respectable colleagues could not survive to continue serving their communities and in some cases instead of responding with gratitude, THEY KILLED THEM!

The only thing we doctors ask for is your support and that you please sign this petition so that together we can reach the necessary signatures so that the authorities take the petition into account and we have greater security in the exercise of our profession, as well as opportunities to serve society respectfully and safely.
