A proper reboot of the iconic Medal of Honor franchise.

Medal of Honor. At one point, one of the most recognizable and respected franchises in the world is currently dying. It's dying in the worst way possible, by being completely and utterly forgotten. Not only by the new generation of gamers who simply didn't get to experience Medal of Honor in its prime but by former fans of the franchise who once proclaimed it the best that the First Shooter genre had to offer.

For many, one of the most epic scenes in video game history will be the opening sequence of Medal of Honor Frontline. The absolute horrors of bullets flying around you as you try to storm and take over Omaha Beach. It is crazy to think that it has been over 14 years since Medal of Honor Frontline was released and almost 17 years since the world was introduced to the very first Medal of Honor for the original PlayStation.

From the very first Medal of Honor, through Underground, Allied Assault, Frontline, Rising Sun, European Assault, Airborne and many many other iterations, Medal of Honor cemented itself as a true classic in the First Person Shooter scene.

After 2007's Medal of Honor Airborn, the series took a breather as series fatigue and competition took its tool on a then still recognizable brand that was Medal of Honor. In 2010 however, Medal of Honor fans were graced with a long awaited reboot of the series that brought the war to the modern era. Despite many bugs in the games multiplayer mode the game became a commercial success, selling over 5 million copies cementing a sequel.

The reboot of the series was a breath of fresh air in the multiplayer community. Many people were looking for a change of pace which Medal of Honor offered. The maps were not too small and not too big – they were perfect!

The unfortunate lack of support that the 2010 reboot received from the developers made people very skeptical of the series and sales of Warfighter were about half that of Medal of Honor 2010. Despite that, Medal of Honor Warfighter was a fantastic game which offered many unique features and exactly what the reboot provided first – the great size balance in maps. The same issues plagued Warfighter as they did the reboot. The lack of support ensured that the entire series once more went into a downward spiral and currently sits at the brink of extinction.

As fans of the series, we plead with EA not to scrap the series entirely, but to provide its talented developers that they have under their wing to give Medal of Honor another shot at greatness.
