Pakistan is a vibrant country that has so much to offer to its people and to the world. A country plagued by corruption, hope has arisen! The people of Pakistan want change that will help to improve lives, communities and the economy. Whether you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, working or unemployed, everyone wants to see improvements in the system that will represent true democracy. In light of the recent success in derailing corruptive practices endorsed and conducted by the ex-Prime Minister, the people of Pakistan have witnessed that their is light at end of the tunnel. Whether protesting through mass public demonstrations or seeking justice from the judicial system, change has been witnessed, and that too is now influencing people to speak out against unfair treatment, a lack of transparency and lack of accountability. Elite powerful people are being set to example which is absolutely effective in building trust, belief and positive change :). This petition is set to urge the Election Commission of Pakistan to see through electoral reform that will help to improve the representation of each and every person who votes. To help drive trust in the election system, we urge the Commission to take a strong look at the following recommendations on behalf of the masses:

Use of electronic voting machines [EVM] and biometric verification machines [BVM]
ARGUMENT: To ensure a secure and safe process by which every voter is guaranteed that their vote is verified and understood

Voting rights for overseas Pakistani's
ARGUMENT: Overseas Pakistani's invest heavily in Pakistan's economy, this would be their return on investment

Appointment of returning officers (ROs) from the armed forces
ARGUMENT: Due to the huge number of claims of government employees colluding with contesting parties, it is imperative any systematic set up is independent and open to accountability. The army is a reputable and respected regime. It is keen to work alongside a democratic division so that it can focus on doing its own job, I.e protecting us, supporting humanitarian crisis; driving out terrorism and early intervention

Change will happen, it's inevitable but the people of Pakistan want to grasp the opportunity to gain the best possible outcomes. Tweet this petition with #NOPOLLSWITHOUTREFORMS to help drive the best change!
