Authorities have decided to to postpone reopening of educational institutions, namely colleges and universities, in light of the present Covid-19 challenges. If authorities are do worried about mass gatherings and thereafter a Covid outbreak, 2021 state elections in Bengal too should be postponed keeping the same concerns in mind. Public rallies, gatherings, meetings and the entire election procedure involves mass gatherings, far more massive than what universities have to offer. If authorities do not have problems with elections, why put the handcuffs on education?!
