Problem
As a voter, we can vote in an election only once and only in the constituency we live in.
Why should the candidate have the privilege of standing for election anywhere he/she wants and in any number of places? What would an outsider know about the problems in our constituency?
Solution
Our MLA/MP is our representative and should have the same rights as us during elections. If he/she claims to represent us, he/she should be one of us.
Candidature should be approved if and only if the candidate is a resident and has voting rights in that constituency he/she is choosing to represent.
