Blowholes Protection Association with this petition PET 01/2016 BLOWHOLES “are asking the Shire to plan it right” Your response URGENTLY needed for BPA to submit community concerns to shire @ council meeting 22/2/16. To offer your support sign this BPA Petition online or via paper copy available from Carnarvon Cabinet Makers 10 Basset Way/ email For the sake of the Blowholes future the BPA encourages all Shack owners, Day use visitors and Shire of Carnarvon residents to lobby our Councillors to uphold the key concepts agreed to in the 2008 Master plan and commence implementation planning based on its recommendations as soon as possible. The Shire of Carnarvon released in 2014 a Draft Blowholes Reserves Management. The BPA provided a collective response from concerned key stakeholders and reconfirmed support of the previously endorsed 2008 Blowholes Master Plan as a more environmentally sustainable option. The BPA are very concerned that the now finalised Blowholes Reserve Management Plan 2014 -2036 (BRMP 2014-2036) as presented Agenda Ordinary Council Meeting 27 Jan 2016 has planning principles for this area that have the potential to destroy the very character which makes the Blowholes such a popular place. The BRMP 2014-2036 exhibits what the BPA considers serious discrepancies between stated objectives and potential outcomes if current planning is realised as detailed in concept plan.
