Helping the homeless through Housing and Resources

Helping the homeless through Housing and Resources

As a young girl growing up in the District of Columbia, I watched several people suffer from displacement and a lack of permanent timely resources that could bring people into readmission. Well, I’m looking to help solve that problem. I’m determined to give people a chance again. But the problem is that, the home of the Capital is mainly federally owned and the cost to live in the there is constantly rising. Why are prices are rising? Meanwhile, employment and housing opportunities still fail to meet the needs of the people.
Some resources are given but not enough for sustainability. People are facing displacement everyday and I want to fix that but I need your help. The people need YOUR help. Did you know in DC most homeless and displaced people sleep right outside “THE WHITE HOUSE”? Did you know many of the homeless or displaced have a story that you or someone in your family can resonate with? It’s our job, our civic duty, our moral, our inner spirit, and willingness to help those in need by hearing them, walking with them and standing for them when they can’t stand for themselves.
Stand with me in the movement to have our government change the law and allow Better Day living to provide Tiny housing to the people who need it the most. Most shelters closed down or were so uninhabitable, no woman, man, or child should stay there. Don’t these displaced people deserve to live like me and you? Stand with me for help in bringing Better Day living to DC where we will provide one bedroom studio style homes to those in need while providing resources to help them re-enter into society.
How many of you passed a displaced person at a light, in front of a store or at a gas pump? Now, picture helping those families secure a job, housing, food, mental health and awareness which are the basic needs for humans. To support this cause, you can simply sign this petition to change the systems that continue to oppress and ignore the traumatic living conditions and lack of resources that our humanity needs.
