If I’m being completely honest the dress code is really crude. Everything in the SHS video was towards females and for the males it was pretty much “don’t associate yourself with gangsters”. There was no equality in that video but there should be. If teachers can’t control themselves versus a female/male(s) stomach or  shoulders then they should not be teaching with children/teenagers. It’s time to edit the dress code for females and males to feel more comfortable in school. The dress code should not be made to berate the student body, it should be there to assert some right. Teenage girls I know everyday have to think “Am I too bad today” I apologize for my wording but it’s true. Girls get dress coded for a tank that had 2-3 fingers but to a male male teacher was barley 2 fingers because of the hand differences. Meanwhile the males get to wear muscle shirts and they don’t struggle. Girls today are being called out for their shoulders and parts of their stomachs. Which causes them to feel misplaced in high school where all we wanna do is fit in. These gender roles need to be edited to fit our modern world. We are not the same El Centro we were 100 years ago. We have evolved as a society so our rules should not be broken but adapted to our current society.
