The Eastern Junior Vikings Football and Cheer program, which serves the children of Voorhees, Gibbsboro, and Berlin, New Jersey, is an organization that has proudly been successful due to the heavy involvement of parents.  As an EJV football parent myself, I have spent countless hours volunteering my time on the field and off.  Parents from all age groups volunteer their time as board members, head coaches, assistance coaches, team moms and dads, fundraiser organizers, and helpers in the snack stand.  Unfortunately, last season our organization "went quiet" on us.  We seemed to have lost our ability to communicate with the organization, board members and coaches.  We could not seem to reach anyone who could help us and there was no banquet at the end of the season for our children to celebrate their accomplishments. Just silence and LOTS of questions from parents like myself.  What is going on with our children's football and cheer program?

EJV is also currently promoting registration for the upcoming 2022 season.  How is this happening without board members, a parent committee or even an election? Then when I tried to register my son (who has proudly played for EJV for 7 years), it said there was no program available for him.  Coincidently, I am able to register another child for cheer.

We need to take back control of our township organization.  These are OUR children.  This petition is to boycott Eastern Junior Vikings Football and Cheer from operating without a parent committee and a board election.  We will not register our children for any programs offered by Eastern Junior Vikings until the proper process is adhered to, which includes but is not limited to, properly HOLDING an election and NOTIFYING parents of when the election will be held.  We will boycott registration until this organization is run by a board committee that is voted on by US, the parents who have invested not only our money, but our time, into this organization.

Who is making decisions for our league? Who is making decisions for OUR CHILDREN? We demand answers from our town and what they are doing about this. Please join me at the next open township meeting on Monday April 11th at 6:30 (via zoom) to fight for what belongs to our kids.
