changing school dress code

Most schools have dress codes. In my opinion, my school has a strict dress code, not strict but most of the rules are unnecessary. I would like to make a change to these rules, by allowing us to wear certain things we can’t. One of the things we are not allowed to wear are ripped jeans. I think ripped jeans have nothing bad but a couple of holes in it. Ripped jeans are not a distraction, depending on how big or ripped the jeans are. Which is why they should allow ripped jeans that have small and not to many holes in them so they won’t be a distraction. In high school, they allow ripped jeans, so I don’t understand why they don’t in middle school. If showing small parts of our skin is a distraction then they should allow us to cover those small holes with leggings. As a conclusion, I think Edwards Middle School dress code should be changed and should allow us to wear ripped jeans.
