Mass shootings have become common place. Enough! I am a school principal, an educator, a mother, and a wife We need to demand that Congress, specifically the Senate, act now by raising the minimum age to purchase AR-15 assault rifles and other like weapons from 18 to 21. We also need an eventual total ban on the sale and purchase of assault rifles as they have no other purpose than mass destruction. We also need full background checks on people who want to purchase guns. It is simple. We deserve to live and have schools where children, teachers and staff, and leaders are safe from mass shootings.
