" Your Health, Your Wealth "
The people of the Philippines deserve quality learning and psychological health care regardless of their ages, socio-economic status, and statement of faith. It is the way toward achieving knowledge, harmonious relationships among individuals, a low suicide rate, and good propensities. It intends to reduce ignorance and stigma surrounding psychological illnesses, support and raise mental health awareness among students, and expand individuals' mindfulness about mental health issues. It aims to diminish suicide deaths and battle mental illnesses like depression and anxiety. The progression of Covid-19 pandemic affects the learning system of the students in the Philippines which has become a challenge for them to adjust and assess their capabilities in the new system of learning.
Your Health, Your Wealth is a campaign in the Philippines that promotes psychological counselling and a one-week academic break every month. Students, especially those who developed depression and other mental illnesses during the Covid-19 pandemic, are the beneficiaries of this campaign. It proposes free access to psychological assessment or counseling that will serve as an opportunity to decrease the suicide rate among students and hear their burdens during the pandemic and online setting learning without the inconvenience of spending any amount of money. The importance of self-assessment among the students is for them to become knowledgeable of their own strengths and weaknesses in facing a mental problem. In fact, according to Dr. Honey Carandang, this pandemic anxiety that everyone was facing today may be permanent until the end of this pandemic. Therefore, this campaign sought to provide a psychological assessment and awareness within the students of the Philippines.
Our mental health is our greatest asset, which is why it is critical to not only treat mental health issues, particularly in this time of epidemic, but also to promote the mental and social well-being of Filipino students. This campaign will provide them with a chance to learn about their own coping strategies and capacities, which will allow them to grow and better themselves. As a result, this psychological campaign will have a long-term impact on society, and its advantages will be shared by a large number of individuals across society.
