Joshua Bui started this petition to Education System

Reality. Everywhere in everyday life is now being modernised with technology. Why is it that we are heading in the opposite direction within our Education System?

Yondr is slowly restricting phone use in schools by implementing Yondr bags (phone lock pouches) within our Education System and eventually may reach all schools around the world. Yondr bags contain a major security flaw with Yondr bags being identical in external appearance and aren't see through, easing phone theft. Schools around my area have already tried and stopped utilising Yondr, which signifies the ineffectiveness in the Yondr bag system.

Why should phones be allowed in schools?
- Provides access to educational apps and resources to help students in their schoolwork. With a large sum of work having to be submitted online, it is important for students to have all-time access to their phones, especially with the lack of good quality technology at schools (slow computers and laptops).
- Caters for students who struggle to socialise at school. Students may be experiencing mental health issues or bullying and must resort to their online/digital hub. Stripping them of their access to the internet and their safe place may cause more issues within their personal life.

For a majority of teenagers, they don't abuse phone use within the school; only a few of them do. By punishing everyone, it makes everyone unhappy.

Yondr is controlling our education system and it's heading in the wrong direction. Our education system is one of our most fragile things in our modern world and something that is already hated by our current generation. The wellbeing and intelligence of our children is something that Yondr threatens.
