As Muslims we have fought in the World War 1 and World War 2. But were we ever taught this in schools? Answer, no. As a student I was made to not feel connected to Remembrance Day, as I was laughed at by my peers for wanting to wear a poppy just to be like everyone else. But had I known that I was also remembering our forgotten Muslims soldiers who died, I would've been proud and wore the poppy with confidence.

But this was not the case, until I did my own research. Why are the schools not including Muslim history in their teachings? Why has the British not acknowledged the efforts of the Muslim soldiers which they needed during these wars?
