Why this petition matters

Started by Guy Upchurch

How many people once they leave school actually are bothered about languages?

We have a whole community in our own country that most people are unable to communicate with because we aren't taught sign language as a compulsory subject from the moment we start our education, all the way to GCSE and beyond.

The sooner in peoples lives they learn this the sooner the divide between disable and abled will cut.

It should be a priority over any other second language in our education system and every day lives.

Every person in the UK should be able to access a sign language course no matter what age you are for free.

As a nation we need to be able to communicate with each other 2nd languages are mostly chosen due to family needs, we all can speak English. Now its time for our country to speak to our disabled community
