Give £50m to all schools, not just grammar schools

The Education Secretary Damian Hinds is giving £50m to grammar schools at a time when all schools are in dire need of extra funding. There is much evidence that these selective schools create social barriers and damages social mobility. Affluent parents can pay for private tuition so that their child passes the test to get into these schools. There are good non selective schools who are more in need of the extra money because they don’t have parents who can supplement their state funding. Every child deserves the opportunity and resources to fulfil their potential, not just the privileged few. Sign this petition to have the £50m allocated more fairly.
