Politics and understanding campaigns is something that should be taught and talked about in school! Make it part of the curriculum how can you expect a population of young people to vote and decide the fate of their future with minimal understanding of it! An unbiased curriculum which doesn't lead voters to just voting for who their grandparents did! So many votes go to waste because there is a lack of education, understanding and interest! Make young people aware! Encourage discussions around the history of voting, the purpose of voting, impacts and implications of not voting. Discuss campaigns and manifestos, explore pro's and cons of each party and allow young people to make their own minds up without the influence of family members.

Produce a course of life skills, which teaches students how to set up savings accounts, the importance of them, explain the benefits of part time jobs, or voluntary work and emphasise how experience is inevitable in today's society.

Teach students how to manage money, how interest rates fluctuate, how to apply for mortgages and the processes involved in that life changing step.

Apply job roles to subjects to help students become aware of what jobs they could do in relation to subjects they enjoy, and what they need to understand and do to get there. There are so many young people who go through life unaware of how to do so many things because unless you have a figure in your life to explain these things to you, then what hope do you have?!

Life skills should be a subject tought at school, voting should be encouraged and these things should be talked about, and interests developed. It is our futures after all!!
