Ayushi Chowdhury started this petition to EDUCATION MINISTER OF INDIA AND CBSE and

Respected Sir/Ma'am, this is to inform you that the cases of COVID-19 are rising rapidly and the second wave is hitting so hard that it is now considered as more dangerous that the first hit of COVID-19. The vaccines are not yet proved to be very much helpful and vaccinations for people below 40-45 haven't even initiated. Giving the exams offline will make the students completely exposed to the deadly virus. Even after maintaining and following the safety protocols, so many schools have been contacted to this virus. It has absolutely no safety and we can't risk our childrens' lives for just a pen and paper examination.

Either you can postpone it and conduct it online. The students were themselves taught everything online and we all know that the lessons were not very helpful or enriching. If lessons can be given online , why not the exams? Also postponing can be done to ensure greater safety. At this point, COVID-19 doesn't attacks only the old aged group. Moreover, nowadays many kids suffer from chronic diseases like diabetes,  cardiac problems, respiratory disorder and stress and anxiety. I am myself under stress and anxiety medications and in process of a cardiac treatment. It is very risky for me and for so many other students who might be a bit disadvantaged related to their physical and mental health.

What is future if the present is not well taken care of? What does academics or career means if the students doesn't get to thrive healthily. Cbse is saying that they can conduct practical exams for those students who might be suffering from COVID-19 and give them a chance within their estimated time that means by 11th june. But what about the theory exams? What if some students are affected by COVID-19 and can't sit for the exams? What is the solution for them? How can they take the stress of preparing for the exams? What if a single child has been infected with COVID-19 with any symptoms and sitting in the class with other many students. What if it spreads? The students' lives will be at stake! Who takes the responsibility then? What about their families? Please rethink and reevaluate the decision which have been taken haphazardly by the Indian Education Ministry.

I request and beg to bring out some changes to ensure greater safety. Empathy and understanding is all it takes. This ain't any excuse , its a fact! . We are stressed out. We need some justice and answers. I am proud of be an Indian but I would definitely like to appreciated what the other countries did. They cancelled and postponed the exams , not only to ensure students' and teachers' safety but also to unitedly deal and cope with the crisis situation.
