I want Compulsary training for all teachers on asthma attacks in children and adolescents in an educational environment and how to administer medicines correctly educating teachers on the before and after effects of an asthma attack. I would like them to be aware of the importance of time in administering medication at the point of an attack and the unrealistic expectations upon children to walk to their place of medication. I want teachers being proactive and administering medication at the point of an asthma attack to any child/adolescent. Teachers need to understand the different types of asthma, wheezing, coughing, etc they also need to understand recovery periods after an attack, plus the triggers of an attack and to make sure every asthmatic child has an individual asthma plan in place in the school, to suit that particular child's needs so there is an awareness of how much medication a child/adolescent is taking daily, and what the medication means. I would like training videos to consist of real life stories on managing asthma and the mental health around it such as anxiety, routine, crowds, and confrontations etc..as well as nurses stories and advice from asthma specialists, including up to date statistics.
