Montgomery College’s Change in Grading System due to Coronavirus
Montgomery College’s Change in Grading System due to Coronavirus
This Pandemic has created a troubling time for all of us. The transition from face to face academic setting to an online schooling is very difficult and hard to maintain especially in a time like this. But we should also keep in mind that the “Pass/Fail” system will not help our GPA hence that it will be harder for students to transfer to the universities they desire once the finish the Montgomery College program. So what seems like the most reasonable thing to do here is to change the grading system. A’s should be considered from 100-80%
B’s- 80-60%
C’s-60-50%
and of course anything below a C is a failing grade. Just give us the room to do well and maintain a good GPA for those who really work and are trying. Those of us that are applying to more rigorous schools would appreciate it and teachers should be more understanding. This grading system will benefit us all compared to a pass/fail system.
